The Credit Grantors Association of Vancouver
believes strongly in Educating the Community
about Consumer Credit. We also believe this
has to start with bringing simple yet effective
education programs to British Columbia’s
high schools system. GUEST
SPEAKERS COME TO YOUR CLASSROOM
Since 1999, the association has available
a large volunteer and complimentary speaker
group in the Greater Vancouver area who
are available to come to your classroom
or school (by Invitation) and present to
either Grade 10, 11 or 12 students on the
importance of credit. The hour long presentation
teaches in a fun and up beat presentation
format on the wise and responsible use of
credit – focusing on such topics as
setting budgets, types of credit, credit
reporting, safeguarding credit, collections,
rights and responsibilities, disadvantages
of bankruptcy and other related topics.
The association prides itself on having
presented over 100 of these sessions since
1999. Some of the Greater Vancouver High

and we believe strongly in this initiative.

IN SCHOLARSHIPS AWARDED TO STUDENTS SINCE
1999
To emphasize to the students the importance
of ones credit rating throughout your lifetime,
and some of the consequences of becoming
over indebted we also offer random draw
scholarships ranging from $500 to $1,000 each year to Grade
12 students that have participated in our
Credit Awareness guest speaker program –
